INTRODUCING

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

This layout in HO Scale is based on the region of New South Wales south of Moss Vale on the double track main line which links Sydney to Melbourne. The station on the layout is modeled on Exeter including the section of track to the north of the station, which traverses the downhill grade to the former site of Werai station. The late Rodney James who was a former owner of AR Kits originally constructed this layout. With his work 80 percent complete , Rodney sadly passed away. Several of Rodney’s friends worked together to allow the layout to be exhibited as a display of his work and modelling skills . The layout then called EXETER was displayed only once at Brisbane in 2005. After this it was acquired by Warren Herbert of Gwydir Valley Models and Rohan Fergusson who also owns and displays BOLIVIA. Extensive alterations to the scenery and electronics have since taken place. And so this is the first time the layout now called SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS has been displayed to the public. Come and see it for your self at this years show as this is one layout that can not be missed.
